Hmmm. Nope I never did think this. It IS quite shocking in retrospect. However I am very proud to be alive during such a revolutionary era. Also I have very few complaints the role that the computer and the internet plays in my life. I think because of it I am a more sophisticated and informed person and we live in a more sophisticated and well informed society.Good point about the farmers in the 1800's with the plow. I'm sure that their lives and the agriculture benefited from THAT necessary machine as well.

I do have to admit being a Luddite about some things though. In the making of art, for example, I don't think that the painter can ever really be replaced by the camera, or any other soulless hunk of dead plastic and glass.
