What Is Spam?

According to the Virginia Supreme Court, the state's anti-spam law is unconstitutional because it violates the First Amendment.  Justice G. Steven Agee ruled that Virginia's law prohibits the anonymous transmission of all unsolicited bulk e-mails, including messages that might contain political, religious, and other speech protected by the First Amendment.

This ruling absolves Jeremy Jaynes -- one of the world's most prolific spammers -- who was imprisoned in 2004 and sentanced to 9 years in prison.  He sent up to 10 million e-mail messages a day from his home.

Luckily, Jeremy Jaynes won't be back to spamming anytime soon.  He will remain in jail for an unrelated seucrities fraud charge.

I'm sorry, but I just couldn't resist posting the Spam Sketch:<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/anwy2MPT5RE&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/anwy2MPT5RE&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Ignore it and it will go away. Just don't be tempted by any of it, whether it be RQLEX or V1GRA or whatever.
