Oscar winner Tatum O'Neal appeared on today's Oprah Winfrey show to speak about her struggles with heroin and cocaine. O'Neal was arrested in June in Manhattan for allegedly buying two bags of cocaine. The actress claims that she was close to relapsing but the arrest prevented it.
"I got close to relapsing," O'Neal said. "It was close enough. Too close for comfort."
She told Winfrey that she just can't explain what happened and that she thanks the police for busting her, fearing that she would be using again if she hadn't been scared straight by the arrest.
