This is merely a product of the 24 hour news cycle. There is pressure to get a story, ANY story about her out...She has sprung out onto the main stage like some kind of jack in the box, nobody saw her coming, and they are scrambling to find something, anything about her. And the easiest stuff to find is the ALWAYS been the negative stuff. Compare this to Obama, who has been out there, approachable, has been an oncoming storm for the last two years. Journalists have been able to take the time to look at everything he has to say and everything he has done up to this point. You can't possibly say that the media is anti republican after the genital spongebath that they gave Bush for the first six years of his term, before Hurricane Katrina.
Maybe the media "is" tougher on Palin because she is so silly.
