Sep 6th, 2008 | Marilyn Monroe survey
Most fascinating thing about this note by Marilyn Monroe?
This letter by Marilyn Monroe is part of two filing cabinets of personal artifacts which recently surfaced. After Monroe's death in 1962, her manager hid items which Buzzfeed.com reports "include bar and hotel receipts, mementos, letters, jewels, Chanel no. 5, lots of prescriptions for sedatives and barbiturates, a recording of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs song 'Some Day My Prince Will Come', and her lucky green dice."
The Monroe items are part of the October cover story in Vanity Fair magazine.

"It arrived, I drank, I was gayer".....HauntingSad in a way. What a mysterious character she was.
I think it states the ojective of drinking alcohol very simply; to heighten one's joy. The term gayer would be controversial today though.
