Our political system is designed to provide two choices. Since I never agree with either of those sides, my vote is thrown away in every election. Throwing away my vote is pretty much the same as not voting -- which I normally opt for. I think that's a reason to complain.
Quite the contrary. As George Carlin correctly stated, if you voted then you have NO right to complain. You voted for the winner OR loser - live with it and don't complain. OTOH, by NOT voting you have every right to criticize either party...
It is this website that some of the regulars here were on, and it now no longer exists.-I would alter that statement to say if you WON'T vote, meaning being too lazy or whatever to do so. People who choose to not vote deserve the government that is chosen for them. =That having been said, people from outside the US should not be silenced on the issue of US elections, because US foreign, environmental, social and economic (as well as most other) policies have global implications.
I voted and my vote sit there while my state was declared for someone else.(didn't even count,...not very democratic!) Oh yeah,my bad united states isn't a democracy.(I love it though)
There it is! Enjoy the government, or try to have nothing to do with it!
