I don't buy no/low fat products because something has been added to give it more taste - like salt. Processed foods are junk, as is trans fats and margarine.

I do not find them preferable.

Very well put.  I see something very wrong with stripping foods of their nutrients to then re-fortify them. If it isn't healthy in the first place I just pass.

I don't really purchase convenience foods. I generally cook from scratch. Processed food is disgusting, unhealthy. It's virtual poison in exchange for convenience. MSG, High frustose corn syrup, modified food starch, hydrogenated fats...blech. I couldn't feed my family that. I'm one of those annoying health nuts.

My choice is natural food as a rule of thumb. Processed food to remove anything or fortify it with something is suspicious to me. I don't mind a KFC now and again though even if someone tells me its bad for me.

I have a high metabolism or something. I try to eat as much high-calorie food as I can.
