when i stopped smoking i thought i wouldn't be able to drink without smoking, but i eventually got over it, now i can drink without even thinking about a cigarette.
Hmmmm, great question.Nope. Not so much, lately. I remember those days though. Ofcourse I've quit smoking a while back, even after I made the big change, if I was drinking I might have to bum a cigarette off a friend or something. These days with the no-smoking policy in all of the bars, it's tough ya know? You don't want to be caught in the loser crowd smoking cigs outside, and risk losing your bar stool, yeah?
I was flying business class from Tokyo to Nadi, and in the plane was our Minister for Forests at the time. He was a chain smoker, I am not a smoker at all. He was booked in the No Smoking side and I was assigned a seat in the Smokers side. As I sat down, I saw the Minister a wee uneasy and would not seat down, so I went to him and ask if there were any problems. He said “I am a heavy smoker, I can’t seat here”. So I offered him my seat and he thanked me profusely, and I took his seat – which the airline knew was for a VIP from Fiji. So I got all the VIP treatment which the airline prepared for the Minister while he enjoyed his cigarettes I guess.

Smoking is my only vice. (tobacco only)
