Do you agree with Walter Cronkite, that cable news won't "Ever Replace The Networks' Evening Newscasts"

"I don't think cable news will ever replace the networks' evening newscasts. There's room for both -- and more -- in our changing society and I feel that the dissemination of news by reliable sources in any format serves the public's interests. But far from becoming outdated, I believe the evening news broadcasts are and will remain vital for a healthy democracy."

The nightly news on any of the old "big three" networks feel terribly outdated on the rare occasion that I do see them.  Like overly sanitzed and dumbed so far down it's unwatchable.  Walter dear, the golden age of network TV news is long gone.

Atleast, we don't. I get my news from the internet anyway.
