I had a dog that was having a weird dream, once. His pelvis was grinding, and he was making grunting noises. I thought it was a little funny, but after a little while I got nervous. So I woke him up. He looked around, realized that it was just a dream, and bit me. Then he went back to sleep. :-P (sorry, that story is bullshit)

My GF's dog has long elaborate loud dreams like this. It's way fun to watch.
