Do you buy Obamas' Reverend Wright scorning? Does it affect your take on his strength of conviction?

It may be old news, but the Reverend Wright and Barak Obama association remains fresh in many Americans' minds.

Something's more important here than the black vote. First off he's 50% white and 2nd, didn't work at the car wash or sit in the back of the bus. Most blacks wish he was 100% black, which i can understand - having gone through 2nd class citizenship with no representation thus far. Obama's got both worlds. What impresses me the most is his ability to balance both sides and his overall intelligence. I think he's sincere and adept at maintaining this balance. Time will tell...

And what about Pat Robertson? I seem to remember HIM saying something about 911....

Obama has got his followers so snowed with his charming "celebrity" act that his ignorant, brainless voters can't wrap their tiny minds around what he really is & can't see or refuse to acknowledge the truth about him. Also, these bleeding liberal types think they're giving Obama a break by voting for the poor black man. Like it's part of their reformations. It's really such bullshit.

Drama-duck is just blinded by the fact that Obama is black. Obama could be any kind of wretched feind (and is) as long as he's black Drama-duck don't care. Big fucking deal, so Obama is black. You vote for the most qualified, decent person. Not their color. Drama-duck is a racist pig.

Obama sure did drop it (the reverand) like it's hot. He's a wishy washy chameleon that won't even back his supposed "friend" & spiritual leader. Phony ass empty suit. The reason you don't hear anything about McCain's spiritual leader because he's "normal" & a real American.

McCain didn't sit in the same church for twenty years, listening to, and apparently agreeing with,  the crap that was coming out of Wright's mouth.  I doubt McCain has ever set foot in Parsley's church.

To my uderstanding Obama dropped Wright like a hot potato as soon as he started flaking out and drawing media attention to himself. I think he still agrees with his views, but is unable to associate with him because of what it will do to his image. The whole situation suggests that Obama will do whatever it takes to appeal to the masses, even if it means being a fake.

Don't forget his take on 9/11 as being "the chickens coming home to roost", and "the U.S. of KKK."  Twenty years Obama sat in this guy's church.

Ya know this thing still bothers me. It completed changed my opinion of Obama and I still find it hard to really like the guy, regardless of who will get my vote.I think the reason that you do not find other politicians taken to task for what their pastors have said in the last several years is because, as far as I know, none of the other candidates aline themselves with spiritual leaders who claim that the USA invented the AIDS virus to kill black people. Or who claim in their church that 911 was an inside job, without proof.or even "G-D Damn" America, hahahahaha, that was classic! hey, if obama can vouch for these statements more power to him and wright, but he can't just all of the sudden come out and say, "ooooh, i did NOT know that about my pastor", it's smells like good old fashioned B.S to me!

It's a whole new standard for candidates to public office: what have their pastors said over the past several years? I don't recall McCain or ANY OTHER politician being taken to task for things said in the churches they attend.-Since we have this whole new yardstick to measure public figures by, why aren't other public figures being judged by it? You don't hear much about the extreme views of Rod Parsley for example.
