no self-respecting feminist/hillary-supporte r will vote for this woman.  she'll get the conservative fundamentalist soccer moms.  hillary fans won't fall for this, and i'm one of them.  it's so obvious, such pandering, so pathetic.

Blatant attempt to try to woo the Hillary vote...it won't work.

O wow, this is truly interesting. I've got to learn more about the Alaska Governor: If she wins, then perhaps I can sing "She must have done something good"

Smart move.  Mitigates the "another old white man" aspect of the Republican nomination to some degree.  I wouldn't call it "hitting it out of the park", but I'd say that it was a smart move, in general.

If they win (which is what they are looking for) is to have McCain at 76 give the office to the first woman president.

I think the Republicans just won the White House again.  McCain scored the game-winning goal.

Quickly looked it up, conservative young female governor of Alaska, big on anticorruption. I read something about her a couple of years ago (I think in Time), profiling her as a long shot for the first female president.

For a second I thought you meant Michael Palin. Who is Palin?
