So you are saying that it is merely coincidence that, during the exact period of human population boom and rapid industrialisation, there is a sudden, global rise in temperatures?
Certain countries are BOUND to benefit. Greenland and Iceland are already benefitting from a warmer climate. But this does not help Africa, Asia, Central America, South America, and Australia, does it? They are becoming drier.Plus if sea levels rise, whole cities and nations (New York, London, the Netherlands, Florida, many Pacific nations) will be under water. -Plus, all the ecosystems on this planet have evolved in particular climates. If things get wetter (or drier) then these ecosystems will suffer, and if they do not adapt, they will die.-The same goes for cities. Our cities have been built with one climate in mind. For example, water management. If rainfall levels rise, then storm water and sewage systems will become overloaded. If rainfall levels fall, then water shortages ensue. Any kind of climate change that is severe enough will result in the failure of key infrastructure. Many cities are already suffering from water restrictions, including Melbourne, where I live.
There is no proof of global warming; it can only be stated as a theory. I'm not saying that it is not possible just that there is nothing to benchmark it against, it is known that the earth has gone threw climate changes in the past, this we know as fact. What we can't prove is that man has had an definite impact on the climate, as man is relatively a new comer to Earth, the current trend in warming can not be linked to anything man has done. Previous climate cycles happened, (warming, ice ages) but we are not sure why. - Is it possible? Yes. Is it fact? No. Would it hurt mankind to change the way we live our lives today.... Yes and No, but that is a whole other debate.
There was a study done a few years back that showed if global warming did exist, that it would not be a bad thing for the majority of the northern hemisphere, including all of Europe, Canada, USA. The benefits were shown that there would be an increased growing cycle and higher food production for the agricutural industry and lower fuel consumption, were among the the top benefits. The list went on with many more benefits, however in some parts of the world they were shown to suffer with drought in Africa and parts of South America. Also rising sea levels flooding some low lying islands and other areas. However given the importance the Western Civilization gives to itself, if global warming is real, It would only be a benefit.
That was just an example. But a logical one, because we have been pumping so much stuff into the air, that it is bound to change the weather. -Let me give you an example of how we have changed the weather. During the invasions of Russia, during the Napoleonic wars and World War II, the Russians burnt everything. Cities, forests, infrastructure, everything, while retreating. It was called "scorched earth". The idea was to deprive invading forces of supplies. There was one other effect that was equally devastating for the invaders: The smoke blocked out the Sun, and caused the winters to be far far colder. This resulted in whole armies being wiped out while retreating.
IN YOUR FACE PHIL! HAHA!
Of course you do, I am using my name. You are anonymous. You find it more comfortable us NOT knowing your name.
Ran out of arguments again?
I don't have a degree in climatology, but I do read things written by people who do.

So you are saying that we do not know whether we are causing the rise in temperatures, so we should do nothing?
Phil the Phool has a masters in bullshit.
Phil the Phool, yap, yap, yap. Yappy little dog. Put a muzzle on it.

*I do have to make a correction, **there is no proof of glbal warming due to man;**

Does philgtaylor have a degree in climatology? Doubtful...Does he have a talent for speculation.....forshizzl e!
ok
We know who you are, give it up.

no, you take a look at whatever charts and compare them to whatever charts.
Take a look at population charts and compare them to global temperature charts. They both show the same thing: A surge upwards.
its just a climate change.
