Those of you who allege that McCain has a better education are clearly not well educated yourselves! He was near the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy. Obama was president of the Harvard Law Review, gradated cum laude and taught constitutional law. It's a shame that pursuing advanced degrees is now thought to be "elite." It seems to me we should desire a president who is academically brilliant, not average. Then again, the electorate has chosen George W. Bush twice.
I have worked as a security guard, and I know standing in one spot in 12 or 16 hours with nothing to do is not good for one's sanity. I mean, it is bearable because it is a relatively short time, but I knew I had to get out, and I am doing other things now. Now extrapolating the effect of this kind of inactivity to 5 years in a tiger cage...
But having a really good education like Obama did, means that you (A) have a high capacity for work and (B) that you are able to learn more, and more quickly. It troubles me that people hold "booklearnin'" in such low esteem.
I agree with Scooter, except. It should read Experience and age will outwit most college educations.Excuse me please,Scooter. And you are right! Good comment.
Becoming the "Manchurian Candidate" does not make you smarter and certainly not a leader...then add PTSD to the mix and you end up with a bomb ready to explode.
How is being trapped in a tiger cage for five years teaching you anything but patience? Psychological torture is not a good grounding. Granted, Nelson Mandela had been imprisoned for over 20 years, but HE had a good education beforehand, and he was able to read books and write while in there.
I'm sure that there's no education like being in a Viet-Cong war prison for a few years. There can't be. So my answer is John McCain, hands down. Regardless of what colleges these guys went to. Experience and age all provides an ireplaceable education.

More on the shadowy details: http://www.usvetdsp.com/mar08/mccain_manchurian.htm Too much his been hush-hush regarding his past...
I like that nickname, it works on both a sarcastic and nonsarcastic level. I take it as a compliment.
Tell me more, Dr. Phil.
I doubt that it would be full blown PTSD, but the after effects would certainly be there.
McCain suffers from PTSD? This is news to me. You've been watching too many movies, mac.
