Do you understand why the Olympic committee has banned softball and baseball, but has kept a garage sport like ping-pong in the Olympics?

Table Tennis is as close to a pure reflex sport as one can get. It demands an extraordinary level of physical adaption and training. Yet unlike Gymnastics the winner is objectively established, not subjectively based on idiosyncratic judging.

Ping pong just reminds me too much of beer pong or quarters, or some other kind of drinking game.  Not a real sport no matter how good the elite may be.  I knew people in school that were awsome in playing the game "pencils" but I wouldnt expect that to be a sport either.I think a lot of the events in the Olympic's are not major sports around the world, but I still would consider them a sport.  I just think its a shame they are doing this to the athlete's

Baseball is a pro sport, and it is only a major sport in the US and Japan. Soccer is a far better candidate than baseball. And the elite end of table tennis is highly competitive.
