Is Led Zeppelin's classic "Whole lotta love" "too racy" for Olympics?

After choosing Led Zeppelin's classic "Whole Lotta Love" for the closing ceremony of the Olympics, the organisers decided that some of the lyrics would have to be omitted  amid concerns that they could cause offence.

In the original, recorded in 1969, Robert Plant sings, "I'm gonna give you every inch of my love". But in the version that will be sung today, Leona Lewis changes the words to "every bit" of my love. The band also agreed to a request from organisers to drop the third verse, which includes similar sexual innuendoes, to fit in to the eight-minute performance

Japan, the US and a few European countries -- of the 186 (or so) countries in the world -- would be cool with it.  The rest might easily find it offensive.  We like to compare ourselves with Europe, who are more progressive than us in several ways.  However, the US is still far beyond most countries in the world when it comes to sexual taboos.  The olympics are an international event, and some effort should be made to create a fun and wholesome event for all countries.

nope. I don't find it racy at all. Not unless it was played really fast. haha.I don't think by "every inch of my love" they necesarily mean any innuendos, leave it to  biased mind to misinterpret. I think that this guy here, in the song, who is telling his lover that he has a whole lotta love insde him, is actually measuring his love in inches and tells lover, you get every inch of it. it's a nice message.
