Except if you kill them, they fulfill their goal of "martyrdom"

No reason to let people like that wander around the world.  No reason to keep them alive in a jail cell, either.

The only solution in that case would be to find out a way to  kill them in which they will KNOW that they are not going to heaven... Drown them in boiling pork fat or something.

if they go to prison we have to house and feed them...i'd rather my tax money be spent on urban outdoorsmen, as boortz calls them (the homeless in other words) or on needy children....so i guess put their ass to death....that way they never have a chance to get out of prison and kill themselves along with countless other innocents...

And if they are certain that they will die soon, either giving their life in killing "infidels" or being killed for their own cause, surely that is no deterrant, instead that would be a bonus to them.

it is hard to reason with a religious fanatic that, such as those that have hijacked the religion of islam, justifies murder as an act condoned by god....

I dont know... If they BELIEVE they are going to be martyred, because they are killed because of their religious conviction, it still feels like they are being rewarded.

not necessarily.....instead of them choosing how, where and when.....they lose control of that.....i feel it takes away the impact of their martyrdom by not allowing them to kill possibly hundreds of people as intended.....

But if they WANT to be "martyred" surely executing them is giving them what they want...

then put them to death before they ever have a chance to do it again and succeed....intent matters

I dont know, lets say they have a large backpack bomb, and were about to board a crowded train when they are caught.
