There are Christians in China and the Chinese people are not forced to worship any one religion. I assume that the Chinese goverment does not appreciate soliciting or attempting to implement ideas that they do not approve of.
The Christians arent being persecuted in China. There are "official" christian churches... If you want to see how China REALLY persecutes people, you should see what they do to Tibet or Falungong.
That is true. But it's the same thing with the Taliban or Nazi Germany or something really evil. It's their border and they can do what they want.....But is it morally or ethically wrong? Is it in this case, opression? Well I wouldn't say it's opression at all, but I do feel that the Chinese government has been at times guilty of this. Just what is it that intimidates them so much about people thinking for themselves. Ideas that are not 'government regulated.' Why confiscate bibles? Isn't that sort of government mind control? And isn't something like that sick in a way? Can anyone draw a parallel between this and our government that might make me suspect? I'd be very curious.
China has the right to choose what they do and don't want in their country. Our freedom of religion and speech does not extend outside of our own borders. Their country, their rules. We have to respect that.
