Seems like a pretty straight-forward issue. Either you think abortion should be legal (in some or all circumstances) or you think that it shouldn't be legal. That opinion is ultimately contingent on whether or not you think a fetus should have human rights. While I dislike abortion, I'm in the pro-choice camp.
It is very hard, because it is a very complicated issue. Oversimplify and you are done for. Certain sections of the community will completely turn off. Abortion is not a black and white issue.
Interesting the difference in the Obama clip and the McCain clip. Obama just seems to go on and on about his mother and his two daughters and it's hard to know what his point is and how it relates to the issue. Ok, the womens' health should be in the woman and the doctors hands not the court, we go that. But are we really talking about health, or simply parenthood.McCain, although this is maybe an under one minute clip says hardly anything about the issue. Just how we can count on his presidency as being pro-life. He seems to respect the intelligence of his audience more than Obama.
im agnostic and my parents are catholic.
