I've spent way too much time with people who went to schools like that. Shockingly, that kind of education doesn't stop with concepts like evolution. I remember talking to one guy who went to a religious college, and the topic of genetic engineering and DNA came up. His response, to paraphrase it, was "Yeah, DNA is one of those evolution things. I don't believe in that, because nobody has been able to prove that it exists." He went on to explain that his school not only "didn't teach evolution" but that his biology classes falsely debunked every concept even vaguely related to heredity and genetics. Even more shocking, he didn't seem to realize that we had been genetically engineering things for decades. He thought that "genetic engineering" was a theory, too, that had never been explored. Sadly, students from religious schools also seem to have severe problems with reading, critical thinking, math, and a bevy of other academic disciplines. They often lack what I consider to be basic cultural knowledge, too, about history and art. It's no mystery why the majority of "religious schools" are not accredited.
I didnt know it was that bad. I had been to a Catholic school and none of THIS rubbish had gone on...
