If not "gay," what word is best?
According to a post in the UK's snarky e-newsletter PopBitch, the American Family Association (AFA) does not like the "appropriation" of the word gay by gay people and puts pressure on whomever it can to use the word "homosexual" instead. As PopBitch says, this policy recently backfired on the AFA.
"Recently the AFA website had a piece about the Olympics, more specifically 100m star Tyson Gay," reported PopBitch. "Its auto-correct function got to work: Tyson Homosexual was a blur in blue, sprinting 100 meters faster than anyone ever has.... 'It means a lot to me,' the 25-year-old Homosexual said. 'I'm glad my body could do it, because now I know I have it in me.'"

yeah, but you have to admit, fabulous is just so much more fun to say...
Don't speak for all Christians. I have gay friends who are very dear to me.
Excellent suggestion.
im gay and theres nothin rong to love...everyone deserves to be loved and to love..and thats fabulous!
If they cant use "gay" anymore, they should hijack one of THEIR words. Like "one of the family" THAT would really annoy the christians.
I only voted for "different" because that image is so hilarious -- click on it for the punchline.
"Homosexual" is a good word but a pretty sterile term. I don't actually like "Queer" much better, but it sounds a little friendlier. I think "Gay" is good.
