Hydrogen is much less explosive than any fossil fuel. However, hydrogen isn't a "free resource." You have to get it from somewhere, probably electrolysis. In order to use Hydrogen, we need to react hydrogen electrically. In order to do that, we need an abundant electricity-producing technology. All of our current large-scale electricity-producing technologies are fossil-fuel based (except nuclear). Hydrogen isn't an answer all by itself, although it has potential.
it takes more energy to create hydrogen fuel than the energy the hydrogen fuel provides...

Oh, I thought hydrogen was green technology. Isn't it highly explosive though?
I don't think we should keep pushing for 'green'. Hydrogen motors are what we really need and what will solve our problems.
I agree.
But they won't until they really have to.
As I see it, it is those very companies that have the capital and will have to diversify more into green technologies to survive.
