This is hard to answer because the media is made of people, voters. Appears as most have done a good job at trying to be objective. Obama is an interesting story for them, but I think McCain is an interesting story for them too with his war background, military family and socialite wife.
The love affair with Obama isnt a fraction of the love affair that the media had with Bush. The love affair with Bush didnt really end until New Orleans drowned while Bush ate cake.
I was blown away by CBS's "fixing" a McCain answer in an interview with Katie Couric. He claimed that the Anbar Awakening was a result of the surge, even though it happened six months earlier. This was such a gross factual error that CBS re-edited the interview, splicing in pieces from earlier in the interview. I know that some like to claim that the media has a "love affair" with Obama but who can honestly say that the networks would have covered for him in this manner?-You've probably heard about this already Mr. Politicass; it's been all over the progressive blogosphere. But for those who haven't, here's what Seth Colter Walls says about it: link.
