Popcorn is acceptable but people go so over the top with eating in movie theaters, it's disgusting. So I guess it all depends on if you were making a real pig of yourself or not.
Although I'm constantly annoyed by people eating, I suck it up at the movie theater. I mean, come on. Most people feel incomplete without eating during a movie.
