Or maybe they just want to have larger breasts. I color my hair. I do not suffer from an inferiority complex nor do I feel that it gives me any sort of advantage. I just like it.And yes, if I could afford it, I would have implants.
In the context of Boniface's email description yes. Otherwise I don't believe it has anything to do with morals. I don't think women that get work done suffer from inferiority complexes any more than women that color their hair, wear foundation, wear padded bras, wear acrylic nails....... and to equate greed with breast augmentation is absurd. Live and let live. I just had 6 age spots lasered off my decotage. Did I feel inferior? Hardly. But I didn't like them any more than someone would like 6 small stains on their shirt. Why should women fall prey to exterior aging if they don't choose to? If our beauty is something we enjoy and it pleases others then what skin is it off some disinterested parties ass? People need to mind their own business and not be hateful because others don't make the same choices they do. If it makes a woman happy to make adjustments whether they be surgical or cosmetics why does it affect strangers in such a violent fashion? It's an intensely personal issue. Western culture amazes me with it's ugly obsession with bringing other people down.
i got the same email....and i had to change my vote...i too feel women get breast implants to make themselves feel better about themselves (some form of inferiority complex? maybe?)....then there are the women who do it hoping to get an advantage from it...
Boniface sent me an email that read thus: "To shape one’s body could be read as the aim towards an ideal, the expression of a truth. So the artefact can be seen as a very high moral value." It appears that Boniface is referring to Platonic forms -- in this case the form of human beauty. In a philosophical sense, seeking an expression of platonic forms is equivalent to seeking truth, and therefore a moral endeavor. Although I think that I understand most philosophical arguments, I am more a pragmatist than philosopher. I think girls want big boobs because of the better opportunities that big boobs represent toward various goals.
Or because they simply prefer the way they look.

maybe....are you asking if women that get fake boobs feel superior? morally?....i may have to change my vote
I'd be curious to know the reasoning behind this!
I'm not sure that I understand the question. On it's surface, it seems farcicle.
