Obama admits using drugs in the past

A big part of the Republican presidential campaign will include use of some of the materials from Obama's best selling book "Dreams for my Father". The popular book includes Obama admitting to have used drugs in his past. Since the book also came out as an audio book, Republicans are estimated to use these recordings in their advertising campaign, as a much more potent mean than a text quote on the screen.

Is American ready to hear the voice of its leading presidential candidate admitting he used drugs? Here's the quote:

“I kept playing basketball, attended classes sparingly, drank beer heavily, and tried drugs enthusiastically. … If the high didn’t solve whatever it was that was getting you down, it could at least help you laugh at the world’s ongoing folly.”
