I go to the nearest 0 or 5 but I don't give more than 2$ and here in Dubai the tip is not very common
I usually look at my bills tax and double it and that is what I give if the service is good thats a little more than 15%

Yeah, but a lot of times you don't have to tip in foreign countries, or if you do it's never more than 10 percent, so the motivation to be a better waiter isn't always there. Or it could be a cultural misinterpretation as well.
...and service is always good in America (except Louisiana). When I'm in a foreign country, I'm always stunned by how bad service is.
If the service is good, I usually go 20% and then round to the nearest dollar.
