Lorena Bobbitt became famous overnight 15 years ago, when news outlets all over the world reported about her cutting her husband's penis while he was sleeping - a retaliation act for being sexually abused by him.
While the snipped husband, John Wayne, went on to appear on TV and star in several adult films, Bobbit - who was found not guilty by a jury - remained quiet, and distanced herself from the media.
Today was Lorena Bobbit's first apperance on TV since her trial. She went on CBS' the Early Show, and spoke for the first time about her life, earning confidence in herself, deciding not to try and make money off of her story, and becoming a confident 39 year old real estate broker who's also doubling as a hair stylist. Lorena also she's in a relationship, and is raising a two year old daughter.
Lorna now volunteers at an organization for women who are victim of domestic violence. She never spoke to former husband, John Wayne, since the accident.
