Do celebrities die in threes?

Every time a few celebrities die in proximity to one another, people start talking about how celebrity deaths usually come in threes. According to wikipedia's data on "notable persons" and their death, they definitely don't die in threes. But many people on that list aren't what the American public would consider a celebrity.

This blog,  tried to scientifically check the "celebrities die in threes" phenomenon, and the obvious conclusion - for 2005 at least - was that celebrities don't die in threes.

And yet, some people definitely believe in this: this web page counts celebrity deaths during the course of a single month, and proclaims that celebs do die in threes.

This blog, goes further, and presents a thesis in which not only celebs die in trios, but also celebrity relatives.
