Is anyone truly born evil or is it just an acquired personality?

We are all born in sin -- and are evil by nature. Think about it... is an 18-mth child perfect or do they do things they shouldn't do -- and then protest when disciplined? Yep, we're all "evil". The good news is that we can be forgiven.

Depending on what you're talking about here, I think it's a combination of nature and enviroment.Take Nazi Germany as an example. There were so many people who discovered  that they were sick sadists because they were put in a situation that encouraged that trait. In other circumstances, these people probably would have lead normal lives.Others displayed a capacity for kindness and bravery that they would never have known outside the extreme enviroment.

I don't really believe in "evil" on an empirical level.  I would generally define it as impulses that supercede another person's well-being.  It appears to be genetic, and maybe even a default behavior in most people, which needs to be trained out of us.

I think an "evil" personality is mostly due to environment.
