I suppose it depends on what you are being intolerant about? There is a difference between  being intolerant and violating someones civil rights.

Atheism for too many has become an identity of sorts. In order to be "right", one must make others "wrong," Atheists has begun a crusade to make every religious person wrong. Fanatical Atheism is intolerant.
