As a generality, American women ARE demanding and difficult and have little to offer. While I consider feminism to be an important movement in the US, a lot of women have used it as a "get out of life, free" card -- The right to take umbrage at domestic responsibilities, while making little or no effort to be productive outside the home. It took me a lot of searching to find a woman that I wanted to marry. She was an ex-marine, divorced working mother of two. She has greater ambitions than to get drunk and shop, and that appears to be pretty rare.
Interesting question.While I understand wanting to go home to find more traditional women, it leaves the women in the U.S. who want to marry men with similar traditional backgrounds little to choose from. I know a few people from different cultures that have gone to "the old country" to find brides. The fact of the matter is a lot of men simply want wives and view American-born women as demanding or difficult. While their intentions are good, this kind of thinking prevents them from meeting really cool women here to end up marrying virtual strangers they may have nothing in common with.
