Other national leaders have been held to trial for war crimes before... Milosevic, Hussein... It is too late to impeach, but not too late to send him and Cheney and Rumsfeld to the Hague.
I hate to argue too, but this stuff is important. We're talking about crimes against humanity, war crimes and war criminals. "Leaders" with a depraved indifference to the lives of millions. -I don't see what anyone's bio has to do with anything. Unprovoked aggression is a crime, or it isn't.
Demonstrating these false pretences is certainly important. So important that the U.S Senate Intelligence Committee researched the matter. Their reports may be seen on their own website here. Here is the relevant document reporting these findings: Report on Whether Public Statements Regarding Iraq by U.S. Government officials Were Substantiated by Intelligence Information I haven't read Bugliosi's book yet, but I have heard him interviewed about it. He makes the case that Bush knew full well that this war was unnecessary. If you have ever read anything by him, you know that Bugliosi has a mind like a steel trap. He doesn't write fluff: no fiction, no memiors, nothing like that. He thinks logically, bases his conclusions on evidence, and unsurprisingly, has had a very successful career as a prosecutor.
This is immaterial. Even if it could be proven without a doubt that past Presidents were as guilty as G.W.B., that would have no bearing whatsoever on the present case. Murderers have gone free and unpunished in the past; does that fact mean that current murder cases should be thrown out? Of course not.-In the Nuremberg Trials, unprovoked aggression was defined as the Supreme International Crime by Benjamin Ferencz. (Ferencz was one of the chief prosecutor of the trials.) This old prosecutor is still with us, and he agrees that Bush could be prosecuted as a war criminal. Here is a link to an article on AlterNet about this.
That G. W. Bush might be able to commit the worst crimes known to man and then just skate away without consequence angers many people. Vincent Bugliosi thinks that Bush should be prosecuted for mass murder. -From the website promoting his new book: "In The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder, Bugliosi presents a tight, meticulously researched legal case that puts George W. Bush on trial in an American courtroom for the murder of nearly 4,000 American soldiers fighting the war in Iraq. Bugliosi sets forth the legal architecture and incontrovertible evidence that President Bush took this nation to war in Iraq under false pretenses—a war that has not only caused the deaths of American soldiers but also over 100,000 innocent Iraqi men, women, and children; cost the United States over one trillion dollars thus far with no end in sight; and alienated many American allies in the Western world."

You would have to demonstrate that false pretenses were intended. Poor decisions, poor information, and poor results are not inherently impeachable.
he doesn't have a leg to stand on....did we arrest past presidents for the wars they got us into? NO
We need a third choice, like "Dennis should put on his foil cap and just go away".
Do you say so because you feel he doesn't deserve it, or because he really is "above the law?" Not trying to start an argument; I'm just curious.
lol......aint gonna happen
