When my spending out-paces my income, it's time for me to start spending less.  Too bad the government doesn't understand basic finance.  Forcibly taking more money from someone like me (and I already have a $50,000 per year tax burden) seems more like crime than legitimate fund raising.

There is a credit crunch brewing. If they dont get the money from somewhere, the government will not be able to borrow more. Where is the money going to come from if not taxes? Would you prefer to sell the national parks or something?

get our congress critters to quit pork barrel spending and there will be plenty of money...no need to raise taxes...just quit wastefully spending the money we have already given them....

to those that think that taxes are too high: The government is spending more than it's income. This money will have to be repaid at some point. How else is this to be done other than raising taxes?

The way I see it, things could always be worse
