UK bans the controversial polypropylene breast implants procedure who made Maxi Mounds famous

A controversial breast implants procedure, known as string breast implants, has been banned in England. The procedure uses polypropylene: The implants absorb bodily fluid and expand once inside the body, resulting in almost continuous breast growth after surgery. This usually led to extreme, almost cartoonish breast sizes.

A familliar example is that of porn star Maxi Mounds, who in 2005 was awarded Guinness World Record for her 36MMM Duo, each weighing 9kg (20lbs).
