Well, watermarking will prevent future theft. At least for profit. You're probably still going to get the captions and other cool viral uses of the photos, but that's really kind of like free advertising.I'm assuming you aren't bothered by the photos being used the way we all used photos on MUs and the like.
Did they copyright the photos? Maybe you could steal the work they did and sell them??? I'm just taking a shot in the dark though. I honestly don't know very much about copyrights, etc.
I love how people think that if you don't copyright something, that means it's public property. Apparently, half the people out there have never heard of a creative commons license, which protects any and all work that is yours from inception.
I have contacted Photobucket and they said if I can prove they are copyrighted, they will remove them. Alas, they are not. I never knew this could/would happen when I started using the Internet as a newbie.
If people weren't selling prints of your images, I'd say feel flattered. But selling your images as prints is equivilant to claiming the images as their own. And it's making a profit off your work.
cute cat
Prelol your cats.

I would be flattered at first, but annoyed that others are making money off of your work.

I don't post the pictures of the few ugly cats I have produced. LOL
Look at all the stress you had to go through on Sugarloot
I will start watermarking my pictures or copyright them from now on.
Yeah, I know. This would involve a lot of work since it is so out of control now. :-/
At this point, there's not a lot you can do

actually, watermark the pussies. saves time later.
I agree with Poshlife; you should watermark them. The later versions of Photoshop come equipped with the plug-ins that allow you to do this I believe.
watermark the photos. then sell them.
That or just have ugly cats! LOL (((((SCOTKITTY)))))
