You are right with what you say, but I think that most people do not know Barcelona for it's cultural value. I guess it's because of the tourist attractions and the historic event called "Universal Exhibition". Following this tradition more and more touristic hot spots have been built in Barcelona.

I remember that when the Olympics were held there in 1992, there was a cubist theme. That's why I guessed "Art and Culture."
