Would you pay $100,000 to clone your dog?

A California firm is planning an auction next month to clone five dogs for no less than $100,000 each.  They claim to have perfected the process and are ready to start what they call the "Best Friends Again" project.

There was a sad and wonderful story on This American Life about a man who cloned his gentle, beloved bull after it expired, and the clone ... didn't exactly return his love. The story is here, if you're interested.

No, I have cats.If it had been available and I'd had the money, I would have cloned a cat of mine that died a few years ago.
