I am usually on top technology, social trends, and such. However, I know almost nothing about music and fashion.I was into MP3s in 1996, and I knew that the Personal Jukebox was going to be huge!!! (before Apple "invented" the same thing and called it the iPod two years later). I was on MySpace early -- My "friend id" is in the hundred-thousands. I have dozens of examples.
I like my shorts a tiny bit shorter but can't stand short shorts. So, given a choice, I'd wear the bermuda.Of course, I don't think I even own a pair of shorts right now! LOL
case and point....bermuda shorts for woman. I wouldn't be caught dead in these things no matter how popular they are LOL <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p310/mrsamerica322/L10858399.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
I have no interest in always being on top of the up and coming and silly trends that eventually fade away. I would rather have a balance of keeping true to what I have always loved and occasionally trying new things that interest me along the way.
popculture is an oxymoron

A very sensible approach.
