A robot conducting the symphony orchestra of Detroit: Can he raise the roof?

The robot ASIMO (stands for Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility), built by Honda, has performed its first live performance with Detroit Symphony orchestra earlier this week.

After beeping the words "Hello, everyone", he waved to the orchestra to begin. It nodded its head at various sections and gestured with one or both hands.

ASIMO was programmed to mimic the work of a conductor - but not to respond to the musicians.

See him in action here

I agree 100%. Beethoven didn't believe in the metronome, and there's a good reason.

I remember when I just used to watch him play soccer. Now look him!  Also, my real answer is no.
