Like Television was the "future of film" when it was created, the internet is "the future of film" now.  Which is to note... TV didn't replace cinema although it arguably became more important than theater.  The internet won't replace either, while it will arguably be more important than both.

The internet is certainly a big part of film's future, but not all of it.
