I have had to do web design and "match my colors" to PMS.  That sucked, because monitors don't universally show the same RGB coordinates the same way, and anyone with a Pantone fetish is certain to argue with you, regardless of what you do.

PMS stands for the Pantone Matching System, a color-management standard that printers use and we signpainters generally hate.
