There exists plenty of historical evidence to support the stories in the Bible, Tora and Koran. God, I believe exists but we have no physical evidence of this (Faith, the trust in things unseen). I think he gave us the stories to strengthen our belief or guide our paths (don’t eat pork you might get trigonosis) not to provide scientific proof of His existence. I personally don’t think you need to belong to a particular church (the congregation not the building) nor read a book but if it helps then so much the better._______________________________
