Disappointed by Expedited Delivery?

I ordered a book from Amazon.com on April 22nd, and paid for UPS 2-day delivery. It was scheduled to arrive on April 24th. On April 24th, UPS delivered the package. To the wrong address. On May 5th, they found it. It's now May 6th, and it doesn't appear that I will receive it, today. I'm hoping to get it tomorrow, although I don't have any real reason to expect it. Have you ever paid for expedited delivery, only to have your package delivered much slower than normal ground transportation?

In the military there was no such thing as overnight. Such a waste of money.

UPS et al usually can ship big city to big city in 2 days, coast to coast in 4. USPS has the 2nd day and Scotkitty is right about it being cheaper.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with FedEx and UPS.  I'm just annoyed this one time.  Hey, did you hear that UPS and FedEx are merging into one giant delivery mega-corporation?  They're going to call it FedUP.  :-)

I don't use UPS if at all humanly possible.  They are more expensive and take longer to deliver then USPS.

Sorry to hear about your problem.  In the overnight delivery business, 98% is considered excellent service.  However, it sucks when customers don't get what they ordered, in a timely manner.
