The largest eye that has ever been recorded in history: 10.8 inches belonging to a giant squid
This largest eye ever recorded in history and studied belongs to a super-rare squid caught off Antarctica. The eye, larger than a dinner plate, is used for hunting down its prey.
One of the squid's two eyes, 10.8 inches across and with a lens as big as an orange, was found intact by the marine scientists who are slowly defrosting the giant creature.
