I'm guessing if the undercooked chicken, carp fresh from the Tigres, or walking through the ankle deep sewage in Baghdad didn't kill me the lemon doesn't stand a chance.
I always refuse a garnish of any kind...they sit out on the bar, numerous people touch them, people sitting at the bar cough and sneeze on them...yuck! Having said that, i like a nice lemon wedge at home...lemon is very good for cleansing the system!
Lemons or ANY other food should be served with clean hands. If not, the Health Department should know about it. The fear of being closed down should provide adequate incentive for more rigorous employee standards. Sometime the regulation of business is appropriate.

it would help if they actually washed the lemons.....they found fecal matter when they tested.....groooossss

I've never been a big fan of lemon in water or lemon-flavored anything.

i used to get lemon slices with my tea....but after hearing about this story....no longer....eeewwwww
I never liked having lemon slice in my water, so thank God I don't have to worry about this.
