I am watching Then She Found Me,for the 2nd time, and it is so painful to watch this remarkable young woman, around my daughters ages, looking frightfully, sadly, scary gaunt to the point of walking on to the wrong film set. She would fit in better in Schindlers List. I am sad that she has allowed herself to become so thin that as a fan,I want to cry. From Cast away to this, she has not come a long weighs. Pun is intended. I shall pray that she gets to eating before she ends up like Karen Carpenter.

No, if you saw her in Then she found me, you would see she just lloks like that now, and it is not a bad shot.  She was always very healthy looking, she slowly moved form healthy to thin, to skinny and now gaunt.  Not good, I hope she is getting help.  this is not about make up, natural is great, but I am worried about her health

I think it is that she is too thin and probably was/is a smoker. It is shocking as she is two years younger than me. She also holds her mouth in a naturally pinched position so that probably doesn't help. But I can't be a hypocrite. I'm tired of the botoxed, trout-mouthed, blow up doll faces that seem to permeate Hollywood stars etc. these days.

As soon as I saw "Then She Found Me", I immediately thought oh my gosh she looks terrible.  Bette Midler who plays her mom in the movie is almost twenty years older than her and looks great compared to Helen Hunt.

I think it's possible for a person her age to look better, but she certainly doesn't look "bad" by my standards.

Being vegan doesn't make you scrawny and shriveled just like every meat eater isn't a fat bloated diabetic. geesh.

Ha. I'm a 40 year old vegan and she looks like my mom. That's not a bad picture. That's sun damage. There is no good reason to have ruined your skin like that. Getting older doesn't mean you should just let your looks go to hell. She looked 900 years old in the last movie I saw of her. "a Good woman"

Man, what an obsession with youth... it is totally NORMAL and apropriate look like that in your 40s. It's better than looking like a blow-up doll.

No I think it is a bad shot through a car window and you are seeing the reflection on top of her image like a double exposure, and she has always been slim. Probably a Vegan.
