When you bid on something it is a contract. It was your responsibility to read the auction before you bid. If you don't honor it the seller still has to pay some of the fees for the listing. Ebay only refunds a portion. So if you bid, win and don't pay you would pretty much be stealing that money from the seller who listed them in good faith with full disclosure.
That really sucks... but you have to read everything before you bid... I also have a bad experience buying shoes on ebay... But hey, don't worry about bad vibes... I only wear vintage and I like to think I'm not too f***ked up.
Just hand wash them and sterilize with hot water, dry in the sun and they are like new. PS. a diabetic with foot problems would always wear socks, probably white. Addendum: Sneaks don't have bad vibes, unless of course the owner was killed for his/her sneakers.
I would end up getting them, then just sell them on.
For sure, cancel your bid NOW :)
