I didn't realize that I had been fired for not-showing-up until months later. I already had another job, and he had already been released for other (similarly unethical) actions during the layoff and afterward. He wasn't actually a very competent person, but he was pretty sneaky.
Richard Simmons came in to film a commercial where I worked. He kept calling me honey in a condescending way and touching me. When I asked him to respect my bounderies and not touch me he got uppity, offended and mean. I called him a fat asshole and they fired me. I got fired from a modeling job once for having ugly hands too.
Did you tell the company what happened? I told my boss I was going on my vacation. He said Ok. I come back and he said I no longer had a job because I quit. What a dill-rod. He eventually went bankrupt so Karma worked in this case.
Okay... true story. My company merged with another company, and they had a massive reorganization and started laying people off. My boss'es new boss was a jerk from another part of the company, and I had fights with some of his (retarded) underlings in the past. He comes into my office and tells me that I was laid off, and escorts me to the door.Two weeks later, the company fired me for not showing up to work.
