Italian judge sentenced a man to 10 days in prison and a 40 euro fine for staring at a woman on a train

A man in his 30s was sentenced to 10 days in prison and a 40 euro ($63) fine after a 55-year old woman filed a complaint for sexual harassment.

The two met on two separate occasions in 2005 on a commuter train going from Lecco, a town in northern Italy, to Milan.

The first time, the man sat next to the woman but she felt he had moved too close for comfort. The next day, He sat in front of the same woman and according to her complaint, stared at her for the whole journey. They did not speak. source

She needs to perfect the stare that says "I'll come over there an smack you if you don't stop staring at me" stare. It's very effective in deterring unwanted conversation or stares.

Moooooom, he LOOKED AT ME! Same thing. She should have moved and we only have her interpretation of his staring.

If it happened just once, it would be crazy...but it seems like this guy was turning stalkerish...nip it in the bud.
